Random Thoughts of the Day: June 29th 2019

Sorry it's been a while, I've been working and have been super tired recently. I was thinking about how much industry and business and everything there is, and as consumers it all just seems so simple. Go online, order stuff, go to a store, get an Uber, use your phone or computer, etc but reading about some of the stuff it is so complicated. Virtualization servers, edge and datacenter servers, manufacturing processes, all the logistics, all the time and effort, there's an 18500 mile (30000km) long essentially cable that goes from San Francisco to Hawaii, through other islands, to Australia, and then back to the US. There is a 39000km cable that stretches from Northern Europe to Australia and then to South Korea. There are things in space that let us talk to each other. Just wow. Humans are pretty cool.

Random Thoughts of the Day: June 25th 2019

Today I was being driven around in a pickup truck for work, and wow it was gigantic. But also people were kind of annoying when we were driving around. For example someone was taking up two parking spots so we asked them to pull up so we could use one of them to unload some stuff, but they just wouldn't. And they were a lyft driver, so they were just gonna leave soon anyways. I don't know, why can't people just be nice and try to be helpful, it makes everyone's life better. I understand that there will be crime, and unfairness in the world, etc, and people are sometimes mean, but I feel like things that are now so basic could be done nicely, like driving, helping people if they are lost or having difficulties carrying stuff, etc. Yeah, just a mini rant about that. But also some people are really nice and just make life enjoyable in the small ways.

Random Thoughts of the Day: June 24th 2019

Isn't it odd that there is so much u used space in the world? Cities are so dense but there is soich space around them, and when people don't have to go store stuff it ends up being thrown away or stored somewhere far away, but cities could stretch out and have better transportation maybe? Anyways, just a thought. Also people are kind of friendly, I dropped stuff on the street and people were nice and helped me pick stuff up. So yay.

Read an article about how loot boxes in games are like gambling and I guess that's true, but I just wonder about how other things that are similar are not forbidden, and if they are like gambling, should they be regulated, outlawed, or controlled somehow?

Random Thoughts of the Day: June 22nd 2019

There are a lot of companies in the world. There are so many apps, sites, programs, everything, and it's amazing to think about the fact that it was all made by someone. There was someone who took time to make the thing and it is now out in the world being used (maybe). I just find that amazing, and sort of astounding, at how many ways there are to do the same thing. If we were to take it all and bundle some of it up and get rid of it what would change? Not even sure how it would work, but it all exists either online or somewhere, and so would it do anything if it were gotten rid of?

Random Thoughts of the Day: June 21st 2019

So it's been a little bit... I've started working and have been busy getting ready for that. Isn't it weird how to get a job you usually need experience but you need a job to get experience? Yeah anyways, I've been thinking about how amazing traffic and travel is. The fact that there are ways to get all over the world, with cars, buses, trains, planes, boats, everything. Just the fact that we are able to do it, and do it in an organized way, with entire industries based on travel and transportation. Yeah, that's that for this morning.

Random Thoughts of the Day: June 18th 2019

Sometimes I feel like being a child is frowned upon. Not being a child like actually being young, but acting like a playful kid who doesn't care what's going on, and can do anything without feeling self conscious. I like to dance around my house and sing and be weird and I also like to be serious, work hard, and do adulting. It's all a balance. And though being playful and childish alone is fun, I also feel like it can be really good to be like that around other people, which j sometimes do either with friends at home, or with family, or in class. But yeah, being childish is underrated.

Random Thoughts of the Day; June 16th + 17th 2019

How did people evolve from the middle ages, from other times. I understand things change, but I wonder if in the future things will change completely from how we are now. Things in the past have gone from empires, dynasties, kingdoms, different ways of life, etc, and so I wonder if that will change anymore, or if mass communication and international relations will put a stop. I feel like it won't change anytime soon, but what if it changed eventually because of some revolution or something. It's possible... 

And why do certain devices say one time and others say another. If both devices are getting the time from the internet, and they are both connected to the same, why do they show that they are minute off? It just bothers me. Anyways, more to come later, off to do stuff.
